None dive bar with a chill vibe
Oldest pub in P-TOWN
Perfect old school Provincetown bar. They keep the A/C cranked up in the hot weather and the bartender has a "friendly" pour.
MoreThis is the biggest dive in P-town. Which I enjoyed.
Friendly spot
Great place! Great atmosphere!!!!!
Fantastic dive bar right in the center of town. Great drinks at a fair price, great music, and Golden Tee. It has probably the most uneven floor I've ever seen in a building that wasn't condemned, and I imagine navigating it while intoxicated is a lot like being on an actual ship. Will visit again.
MoreOld school bar. Great music and drinks
Kind of a dive bar. Not that that's bad. Good music on the jutebox, good tap beer and friendly effeciant bartender.
MoreFun dive bar ambiance... management was not very friendly
The best dive bar on Earth. Love it.
This place looked cozy enough but the bartender was very rude and unwelcoming. She also had long soaking wet hair, a real disgrace in a food establishment!
MoreCash only. Super divie. Great bartenders
Very rustic to say the least great service as well
Good spot just wet your whistle
Walking into this place feels like stepping back in time. Good people and cold beer at a reasonable price.
MoreCan't wait to visit again!
Awesome Bar!!!!!
Love this bar!! It's my favorite place to drink in Provincetown!! Nothing fancy here, just an awesome place to drink & chill!
MoreNo frills spot for cold beers.
The Best Local Hang out in Provincetown for almost 70 years! Owned and operates by 4 generations of the same great family!
MoreGreatest jukebox ever!
Great old school dive bar in the heart of ptown...cheap beer and do some people watching
MoreGrt dive bar
Best dive bar in Ptown, maybe the best ever. Not commercialized like Capt. Tony's in Key West, locals still drink in this bar. "The OC " as it's known by the locals isn't someplace I'd bring the family, but I'd definitely bring myself.
MoreNice
This place is SALTY.
Hi. I'm bringing a bunch of ladies this weekend. Is this the same bar Anthiny Bourdain visied?
More+1 on the SALTY. Bring cash.
Take the plunge into Provincetown's best dive bar! Great location on Commercial Street right in the middle of everything. Fun place to have a drink or 2 or more. Cash only with an ATM. You'll feel like you are on an old ship with the crooked floors and tables in this truly salty Cape Cod old school establishment.
MoreBartender is a ROCK Star!!!!! XO XO
Nice place to hang out!!
Guess
Plain cool place.
Best local bar in Ptown!
Four stars because it's a pretty cool dive bar with an old pirate lady as a bartender. If you don't have your sea legs you'll have a hard time getting around since the whole place is tilted in different directions. Cash only with an ATM on site.
MoreChill place in the middle.of everything
Dive Bar - go anyway. The only reason we went here is because of a drinking made easy show did a segment on this place and I see why. The place is full of off the grid locals and it was a comfortable place to hang out and do what you do at a dive bar - in a comfortable way. if you are in the area, absolutely stop by.
MoreThought it would be cheaper. For these prices go somewhere else
Local strait dive, cheap beer, good people
A great suggestion by our friend Dave. Brilliant!
The best
My friend Jack McDunna and I water holed there 1972 . Jack was a fine characterist and a classic character. When money ran out Jack would take to the street , sketch pad in hand , capture a tourist with his rough appearance, then quickly capture his/her image on his pad. He would hold the pad up and growl , " If you like it , it'll cost you five bucks , if not it's free . He would return in less than 10 minutes with fifty bucks , and our drinking recommenced . He was a sailor and looked like one , claimed he sailed around the world using that sketch pad as currency . He was a bigger than life man , and possibly a bigger than life liar , but I'd like to think he did . One day he stated that I was like a son , ( I was 22 and doing some local summer stock ) , he gave me his " bible " , a copy of Omar Kahyyam . I have it still . He and his woman Tawanda were pure P Town .
MoreQuintessential dive bar.
The best juke box in Massachusetts
This place is awesome! It looks like a pirate bar which makes it unique in ptown. The crooked floor and old things from boats and the sea are the decoration of this bar. I have been many times and always see something I have not seen before hanging on the walls or ceiling.
MoreI have been going here for years and its always the same which is why I like it. I don't know how much it has changed from its opening however long ago. Its an old local fishermans bar so stepping in here is a throwback to when Provincetown was in the age of the dagger and fishing boats. I'm in my mid 30s and I am usually on the younger side when I'm there. The beers are cheap. The jukebox is fantastic as it uses cd's still so you won't have to worry about someone playing something terrible. Bartenders are great for conversation or they let you drink alone. Kind of a dive bar but I highly recommend stopping in for at least one.
